Jacobi is a leader in cloud-based, multi-asset portfolio design and analytics software . Its technology empowers investment management teams, enabling powerful portfolio analytics and customised workflows that can be shared with clients and stakeholders.
You will be part of a team based in London, working with colleagues located in Australia and the US. The London office operates a hybrid working model; the position requires cooperating closely with others in different timezones, so we are open to flexibility in working hours.
You will be required to work on the technology platform which resides on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in containerised deployments. The business is in the scale-up phase which means you will be working on a product that iterates rapidly with opportunity to impact the technical direction of the company.
Key job responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of Jacobi software, delivering quality web application code to production
- Development of code in Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python
- Assist in the ongoing operations and deployment of the software platform in AWS
- Respond and assist as necessary with high-severity operational incidents
- Participate in client interactions as required

Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering or related discipline
- 0-5 years experience in software development
Experience in the following will be highly regarded:
- Java web technologies such as servlets, JSP
- JavaScript, jQuery, React
- SQL and relational databases
- Python
- Container management technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher
- Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation
