JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
SALARY: £47,790 - £53,100
LOCATION: Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid work style, involving at least two days per week at our Edinburgh hub.

What are we looking for in you?You will use your judgment to combine tooling, libraries, and programming languages to solve problems and deliver innovative, customer-focused software solutions.
- You'll coach other engineers to help them grow and reach their potential.
- You'll have strong interpersonal and communication skills for exchanging ideas and explaining concepts.
- You'll positively influence team culture by demonstrating the right values and behaviors.
- You'll articulate complex work clearly to key collaborators.
- Ability to produce high-quality, well-tested, and robust code, including documentation and OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience in building and testing backend microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Node.js, Jest.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform, Helm, and other DevOps tools.
- Good understanding of Cloud technologies.
- Experience creating automated tests and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and end-to-end delivery experience.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with Istio or configuring ingress in Kubernetes.
- Understanding of product lifecycle and RTL processes in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture.
- Understanding of SQL/NoSQL database management.
