Are you passionate about coding and eager to build a career in software development? Evolve is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Software Developer Apprentice to join their team and help develop, test, and maintain innovative software solutions that support our business operations.

In this role, you'll be involved in the full development lifecycle - from reviewing and enhancing current systems to writing clean, efficient code and preparing software for live environments. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, contributing ideas and learning how to turn technical concepts into practical solutions.

In this role, you'll work towards your Junior Software Developer Level 3, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Conducting thorough reviews of Evolve's existing systems to identify areas for improvement
  • Enhancing and optimizing current systems to improve performance and functionality
  • Presenting innovative ideas and solutions for system development and improvement
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the business
  • Producing detailed technical specifications and writing clean, efficient code
  • Testing new systems in controlled environments to ensure stability before deployment
  • Preparing comprehensive training manuals and supporting end-user rollouts
  • Providing ongoing maintenance and support to ensure smooth system operation

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • GCSE in Maths and English, grade C/4
  • Foundational experience with C# and/or ASP.NET
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Good attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload efficiently
  • Practical problem-solver, able to approach challenges with a hands-on, solution-focused mindset

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: £15,000 per annum
  • Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in software development. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
