Software Developer (AWS/Databricks/Cloud Native)

Software Developer (AWS/Databricks/Cloud Native) - Contract - Northamptonshire (Hybrid) - £400.00 per day

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Software Developer to work at a leading consultancy client on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will work in a specialist development role, and will play a key part in migrating services to cloud-native databases and leveraging Databricks for back-testing fraud detection models.

Responsibilities include:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop and deliver PoCs related to fraud detection.

- Integrate Databricks-based back-testing into the fraud detection pipeline.

- Work closely with architects and other developers to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

- Participate in weekly stand-up calls to demonstrate progress and align on deliverables.

- Lead migration to cloud-native databases, predominantly hosted on AWS.

Experience required:

- A strong software developer and designer, who has substantial AWS experience in relation to cloud-native databases and relational stores.

- Previous experience working with databases such as DynamoDB, Redis or Aerospike.

- Strong proficiency with Kafka for the purposes of Real Time data streaming.

- Development skills in Java, and also NodeJS within an AWS environment.

- H ands-on experience in microservices-based distributed environments, with a solid understanding of service orchestration and inter-service communication.

- Previous experience in areas of DevOps such as CI/CD pipelining or containerisation.

- Strong Agile working knowledge, and experience of working in a collaborative environment

- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders and clients.
