Software Architect (Back-end Systems)

Required for a one year, fully remote contract, a Backend Architect/Lead,who can set up the architecture of Back End systems and services, in an E-commerce driven company.
A strong understanding of architectural principles and architectural patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance Back End systems.
• Lead the rebuilding and modernisation of systems into modern, cloud-native architectures.
• Define and enforce best practices in Back End development,
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Back End architecture with product and business goals.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Drive API design and integration strategies (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, etc.).
• Ensure systems are resilient, fault-tolerant, and meet SLAs.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
