Job Description

We're looking for a driven and talented Software & Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop as one of the subject matter experts for our hybrid and electric propulsion systems.
  • Drive product development across both software and hardware domains.
  • Deliver engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the hybrid systems.
  • Provide technical support to customers and the sales team, including fault diagnosis and resolution.
  • Own the software control and management process for hybrid products.
  • Support production and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training programmes for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel occasionally for customer commissioning and on-site technical support (UK and overseas).

Professional Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Degree in Electronics and Software Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3+ years in engineering or manufacturing (5+ years preferred).
  • Proven experience in developing complex systems with both hardware and software components.
  • Strong background in embedded software design and C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with CAN bus systems and standards (e.g., NMEA 2000).
  • Experience with low voltage systems (high voltage a plus).
  • Customer-facing support and field service experience.
  • Exposure to lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Team leadership or mentoring experience is a bonus.
  • Marine or hybrid propulsion experience is advantageous.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in C++ programming.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and deadline-driven.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, Health and Safety at Work Act, and Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma practices.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
