Job Opportunity: Qualified Social Worker - Children in Care (Band H-J)
Location: BCP Civic Centre (Hybrid - Minimum 3 Days On-Site)
Contract: 13 Months
Rate: £45 per hour or 34.83 PAYE
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team on a 13-month contract. Key Responsibilities
- Child-Centered Support
Deliver assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with best practice and statutory requirements. - Home Visits & Reviews
Conduct regular visits and review meetings to assess the child's well-being and progress. - Relationship Building
Build trusting relationships with children, families, and multi-agency professionals. - Multi-Agency Collaboration
Work in partnership with education, health, and other professionals to support the child's development and outcomes. - Accurate Record-Keeping
Maintain timely and thorough records of assessments, visits, and decisions in line with professional standards.
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience working with children in care or within children's services
- Strong communication, assessment, and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and child-centered practice
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and work under pressure
