Responsibilities
  • Assist in leading and managing the Kinship Care Team, ensuring exceptional care and timely assessments.
  • Oversee operations to ensure best practice through effective quality assurance measures.
  • Deliver reflective supervision to empower practitioners with a balance of support and challenge.
  • Drive continuous improvement and encourage innovation to enhance outcomes for children and carers.
  • Collaborate with the wider management team to align with service goals and maintain strong inter agency relationships.
  • Develop strategic plans for long-term kinship care, ensuring financial efficiency and child focused care plans.
  • Chair and contribute to planning and strategy meetings, acting as Agency Advisor to panels such as the Kinship Care Fostering/Permanence Panel.
  • Prepare and present reports for a variety of settings, including legal contexts.
  • Manage team safeguarding issues and deputise for the Practice Lead when required.
