We work alongside the people we support to promote independence, create opportunities and support people to live meaningful and connected lives within their communities.We are currently seeking a Social Care Worker to join our team in Trimon a specified purpose contract to cover maternity leave.

About the Role

As a Social Care Worker, you will:

  • Provide person-centred support to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism
  • Support individuals to identify and work towards their personal goals
  • Promote independence, choice and inclusion
  • Support participation in social, recreational and community-based activities
  • Develop and maintain person-centred plans
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and other professionals
  • Support the delivery of services in line with New Directions and Prosper Meath's policies and values
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Social Care
  • CORU registration as a Social Care Worker
  • Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism
  • A strong understanding of person-centred planning and New Directions
  • Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills
  • A full, clean manual driving licence
