Location: Piltown, South Kilkenny Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Competitive

Our client, a well-established provider of residential care services for children and young people, is seeking an experienced Social Care Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day management of a residential service, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, support and develop a team of Social Care Leaders and Social Care Workers.
• Ensure high-quality, child-centred care is consistently delivered.
• Oversee compliance with Tusla requirements, national standards and relevant legislation.
• Manage staffing, training, budgets and the overall residential environment.
• Build strong relationships with Tusla, CAMHS, An Garda Síochána, schools and other stakeholders.
• Support staff performance, professional development and service improvement.
• Participate in the regional on-call service and provide leadership during challenging situations.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Social Care or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a Health or Social Care setting, including 2 years' supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential childcare standards, legislation and regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent communication, decision-making and conflict-management skills.
• Full, clean manual driving licence.
