Senior Occupational Therapist - Homeless Services (Northwest)

Cpl Healthcare is delighted to partner with a leading non-profit organisation in the Northwest that supports individuals who have experienced long-term homelessness, chronic trauma, mental health challenges, and addiction.

We are currently seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team and play a key role in supporting service users on their journey towards recovery, independence, and community integration.

The Role

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work directly with service users in their own homes, helping them develop essential daily living skills and achieve greater independence. You will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments based on individual needs.
  • Develop, implement, and review person-centred care plans.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions that support functional recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
  • Build trusting relationships with individuals who may have experienced significant trauma and social exclusion.
  • Support service users in progressing towards a more stable and sustainable lifestyle.

This role covers the Northwest region, including:

  • County Sligo
  • County Donegal
  • County Leitrim
Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
  • Be registered with CORU.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification clinical experience, including significant experience in:
    • Mental health services; and/or
    • Working with marginalised or socially excluded populations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess, prioritise, and manage the needs of individual service users.
  • Be able to adapt recovery-focused interventions to meet service user needs.
  • Have excellent relationship-building and engagement skills.
  • Hold permission to work in Ireland.
  • Possess a full, clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
