Job Description
About the Role

As a Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR) specialist you will report to the SMCR Director and partner with HR colleagues across Risk, Talent, Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Reward and the broader regional Compliance team to deliver all aspects of the Senior Manager and Certification Regime. The position is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and enhancement of policies, frameworks and processes for Senior Manager (SMF), Certified Persons (CPs) and the UK Conduct Rules population.
  • Work closely with the EMEA Compliance team, HR Business Partners and Reward to align SMCR processes and policies with legislative and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in the implementation of a new SMCR management system, including process mapping, documentation, identification of process improvements and automation opportunities, and reconciling SMCR data sources prior to system input.
  • Manage CP lifecycle processes, including Fit & Proper assessments, certification, FCA directory maintenance and related reporting.
  • Maintain the SMCR system to ensure complete and accurate records of all SMF related documentation and CP data.
  • Produce all SMCR reporting materials and support Talent Acquisition with SMF/CP queries, including screening queries.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders (EMEA SMFs, US SMFs and CPs) to support ongoing SMCR exercises.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience delivering SMCR compliance to ensure ongoing regulatory and internal policy adherence.
  • Experience using SMCR management systems for record maintenance and certification processes.
  • Advanced attention to detail and analytical capability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at a senior executive level.
  • Prior experience in compliance functions and/or partnership with Compliance and Operational Risk teams within financial services.

Work Environment

The role requires in office collaboration with at least four days per week in the office and one day of work from home. Flexibility and a client centric approach are valued.
