Job Description

Veterinary Surgeon - Brighton, East Sussex (Full-Time)
My client are seeking a dedicated General Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and compassionate team in Brighton. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a close-knit, community-focused practice situated in the heart of one of the UK's most vibrant and iconic cities.

The clinic has built a strong reputation for warmth, kindness and continuity of care, with a loyal client base that values our personal approach. they are a two-vet practice supported by a full-time Head RVN, a part-time RVN, a full-time Veterinary Care Assistant, two Client Care Assistants (one full-time and one part-time), and a dedicated Practice Manager. Facilities include dental and digital x-ray, ultrasound, a full in-house laboratory, kennels and a dedicated theatre, providing everything you need to deliver exceptional care while enjoying a healthy mix of consultations and surgery.
They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years of UK small animal experience, someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, forward-thinking practice. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
In this role, you will be responsible for patient care within the clinic, ensuring the highest standards of service, compliance and compassion. You will provide exceptional client care, addressing concerns with empathy and keeping owners fully informed about their pet's progress. You will carry out consultations and procedures, monitor patients, manage admissions and discharges, maintain accurate clinical records, and prescribe responsibly. You will ensure regulatory, health and safety, and practice standards are upheld at all times, while also maintaining commercial awareness by preparing accurate estimates, supporting payment processes and making the most effective use of clinic capacity.
You will contribute to communication and leadership within the practice by taking part in team meetings, mentoring colleagues and sharing best practice. You will also oversee laboratory testing, ensure smooth clinical handovers and escalate any concerns to the Practice Manager when necessary.
