We are seeking an experienced Skin & Laser Therapist to join our respected aesthetics clinic in Cork City on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be the trusted guide for clients throughout their complete skin journey, from initial consultation to achieving long-term results. You will work collaboratively with our team of doctors and nurses, delivering a comprehensive range of advanced skin treatments. Your expertise will be central to developing and executing personalized treatment plans that address each client's unique skin health needs. This is a clinical role that demands both technical precision and genuine care for client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and professional skin consultations, assessing client needs and skin conditions
- Design and build tailored treatment plans aligned with individual client goals
- Deliver laser and IPL treatments with safety, precision and confidence
- Perform advanced skin treatments including chemical peels, microneedling and medical-grade facials
- Recommend appropriate homecare routines and professional skincare products to optimize and maintain treatment results
- Collaborate closely with doctors and nurses to develop integrated treatment strategies for complex cases
- Maintain rigorous standards of hygiene, safety protocols and comprehensive client record keeping
We are looking for candidates who bring solid clinical experience, genuine passion for skin health, and a commitment to continuous professional development. You should be a qualified aesthetician or skin therapist with a proven track record in a clinical environment, comfortable working within a multidisciplinary medical team. The ideal candidate combines technical competence with excellent interpersonal skills, building strong client relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and clinical standards.
Experience & Expertise Required- Formal qualification as an aesthetician or skin therapist with demonstrated clinical experience (CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC)
- ITEC Level 4 Diploma in Laser and Light Treatments or equivalent, including Core of Knowledge
- At least 2 years' clinical experience in laser hair removal, IPL, skin rejuvenation and pigmentation treatments
- Hands-on, practical experience with laser hair removal, IPL treatments and advanced skin therapies
- Proven ability to conduct professional skin consultations and develop evidence-based treatment recommendations
- Knowledge of skincare products, professional treatments and homecare protocols
- Confident communicator who builds trust and guides clients through treatment decisions
- Detail-oriented with meticulous attention to safety, hygiene and record keeping
- Proactive learner committed to staying current with new treatments, technologies and industry best practices
- Collaborative team player who works effectively alongside medical professionals
- Genuine passion for skin health and client-centered care
