Job Description
Job Overview 
- Security lead for all Mitie site based Supervisors and SO's On HMRC NEP Estate in Newcastle , Washington and Durham
- Actively drive for service excellence, sustainability, social values and efficiency initiatives at local level;
- Co-ordinate the local delivery of all security operations
- Effective and pro-active communication with the HMRC client
- Carry out pre-audit for monthly KPI meetings for all security operations
- Manage client expectations and resolve all concerns in timely manner
- Assist Mitie Account Manager and local Mitie Operations Manager as required
- Management of and responsibility for site security equipment
- Implement opportunities locally to maximise service efficiency and drive continuous improvement
- Conduct monthly pre-audits KPI meetings as required and upscale any failings
- Conduct regular reviews of all sites and ensure that all issues identified are reported and resolved
- Communicate effectively and proactively with the security team and HMRC client
- Ensure smooth running of the HMRC security operation at all times leading by example to deliver to the high standards HMRC expect
- Manage all aspects of site based Mitie security staff for example (list is not exhaustive):
- management of holidays
- manage unplanned absence
- appraisals and performance management
- staff training routine and management of training records
- management of the incident reporting processes
- local management of additional works requests and proactive / timely coms with HMRCS soft and hard FM suppliers
- Ensure all HMRC officers have read and signed the up to date Assignment Instructions
- Ensure the security risk assessments have been signed off and regularly reviewed.
- Assist Mitie Contract and Operations Managers with recruitment, training and as directed
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
- SC Clearance - Minimum standard
- Front Line SIA Licence
- Driving Licence
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role
- Must understand client needs within HMRC
- Ability to inspire and lead team to deliver the highest service standards at all times
- Effective communicator at all levels
- Must have exceptional understanding of security services within HMRC
- Understand key Mitie principles and assist in delivering this in every aspect of site functions
- Must have excellent IT skills and a good understanding of all Microsoft Office application
