Job Description

Role: Site Manager - Conservation Project
Location: Limerick
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Job Type: 9 month contract

Our client is an established mid-tier main contractor working across conservation and heritage, fit-out, commercial and pharmaceutical projects. They are recruiting a Site Manager for a conservation project in Limerick on a 9 month contract, reporting to the Project Manager and taking full responsibility for the day to day running of the site.

Responsibilities
  • Run the site day to day, reporting to the Project Manager
  • Take overall responsibility for health and safety, monitoring and enforcing site compliance daily and closing out audits in a timely manner
  • Ensure quality of build and workmanship, and that works are constructed in line with drawings and specifications
  • Take overall responsibility for delivering the construction programme
  • Review subcontractor and supplier packages, attend prestart meetings and act as main point of contact once appointed
  • Chair weekly subcontractor meetings covering the two week lookahead, programme, health and safety, attendances and cleaning
  • Prepare and manage the two week lookahead and track the main programme for project team meetings
  • Notify the Project QS and Project Manager of any cost or delay issues immediately, and identify efficiencies in sequencing and method of work
  • Order materials and arrange plant and staff so the site has what it needs when required
  • Manage BCAR inspections, keep detailed records, and close out inspection actions and snags
  • Complete the site diary, daily record photos and RFIs
  • Pre-snag the building approaching completion and close out all snags for handover
  • Maintain strong relationships with the client and design team
Requirements
  • Proven Site Manager experience with a main contractor
  • Conservation, heritage or refurbishment project experience an advantage
  • Strong programme management and subcontractor coordination skills
  • Good working knowledge of BCAR and QEHS requirements
  • Strong attention to detail on quality and workmanship
  • Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
