Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new community centre development in Hemel Hempstead. This exciting project consists of two buildings, associated public open spaces (POS), car parking facilities, and play areas, delivering a valuable community asset from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the project from Groundworks stage through to Handover
- Coordinate and supervise all site activities, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
- Liaise with Local Authorities and LABC (Local Authority Building Control)
- Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues effectively
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager
- Strong background in commercial building projects
- Experience dealing with Local Authorities and LABC
- Demonstrable experience managing projects from groundworks through to handover
- Valid SMSTS certification
- Valid First Aid at Work certification
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Competitive day rate of £250-£280 per day (depending on experience)
- Up to 12-month contract
