Site Manager - St Austell, Cornwall. Competitive Salary + Package.

We are working with a leading main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality, sustainable construction projects across healthcare, education, commercial, leisure, and public sector sectors in search of an experienced Site Manager to join their team on an 18-month fixed term contract. Responsibilities
  • Leading the implementation of the project management plan, site procedures, and documentation.
  • Overseeing quality management processes and ensuring compliance with specified requirements.
  • Driving excellent standards of health, safety, and environmental performance on site.
  • Managing direct labour and subcontractors, monitoring attendance, progress, and productivity.
  • Coordinating handover schedules, keys, spares, and completion documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate site diaries and allocation sheets.
  • Advising on buildability and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering high-quality, large-scale projects (£5m+), ideally in sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, or public sector.
  • Broad technical knowledge of modern construction techniques.
  • SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS card, in date.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • IT literate, confident with project management systems and reporting tools.
  • HNC/Degree, MCIOB, or equivalent professional or trade-based background.
  • Full UK driving licence.
