Job Description

This rewarding opportunity has opened up for a kind, aspirational and collaborative nurse to join the Imperial Private Healthcare Team.Imperial Private Healthcare are responsible for providing evidence based care to our private patients, across three main sites at Imperial College Healthcare Trust.

You will be part of an expert multidisciplinary team providing excellent clinical care to patients with complex surgical procedures, oncological cases and discharge requirements, and you'll also provide acute medical interventions to patients with a wide range of conditions.

Main duties of the job
  • Providing high quality, effective and individualised nursing care to a variety of patients in a compassionate and caring way.
  • Assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating care plans without supervision.
  • Helping to lead and monitor the performance of the nursing team.Deputising for the Ward Manager as required.

Person Specification Education/ Qualifications
  • Bachelor degrees in Nursing
  • Has attained relevant courses in management
Experience
  • Registered Nurse for at least 3 years
  • Have at least 12 months experience as a nurse in charge or deputy nurse in charge
  • Experience of supervision of junior staff and review of performance
  • Extensive experience (At least 2 years) with surgical cases and oncology patients
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities
  • Good basic IT skills including use of word, e-mail and internet services
  • Datix investigations
  • Awareness of complaint process
  • Excellent level of English language
  • Demonstrate commitment through involvement in Trust wide initiatives/ committee
  • Managing patients with tracheostomy.
