Simulation and Modelling Engineer

£70-£75 per hour (Inside IR35, Umbrella)

Our market-leading client are seeking a Simulation & Modelling Engineer to join them on a long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, test, and document performance models to support key defence programmes, ensuring adherence to quality and design standards
• Integrate model components from internal teams and other project areas, maintaining clear design records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including GNC, Software, Systems Design, and Technical Quality to deliver effective modelling solutions
• Conduct technical analyses and investigations to resolve complex issues, contributing both independently and as part of a team
• Engage with model users to understand requirements and ensure models are fit for purpose across all stages of the product lifecycle

Skills/Experience Required:

• Extensive experience with Simulation and Modelling (ideally aerospace)
• Hands-on experience with Simulink, Embedded MATLAB and Stateflow
• Ability to produce a computer simulation from a mathematical specification
• Hands-on experience with C, FORTRAN or Ada
• Good understanding of modelling processes and working within a quality process

Desirable:

• DOORS or similar Requirement Management Tools
• Rational Team Concert or similar
