Shipping Coordinator - RoRo

Do you have import and/or export experience, maybe you are currently working for a shipping line or a freight forwarder, but looking to move to a company where you can have a real impact and grow your career with the company as it grows? Our client is a well-established leading RoRo shipping & forwarding company who is looking to recruit a Shipping Coordinator to their busy operations team. The Role: As a Shipping Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the whole shipping process from start to finish, from quoting clients, booking shipments, managing documentation flow, ensuring Customs procedures are completed and the goods get delivered safely & on time, with maximum customer satisfaction. You will be actively involved in shipping both exports and imports to and from the UK, plus cross trades to locations around the globe. This is truly an interesting & sometimes challenging role, where no 2 days are the same. Essential Criteria:

• Import or Export experience (ideally both)
• Documentation, such as Bills of Lading
• Commercially minded
• Excellent communication

Desirable Criteria:

• RoRo experience
• Customs clearance

About the Company: This is a position with a leading RoRo shipping company with offices around the world. Their Southampton office is close to the city centre, and have a good friendly working environment. Hours are Monday to Friday 9-5.30. 4 days in office, 1 day working from home.
