Job Description
Job Overview 
We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join CHEP's manufacturing team. The role involves maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment using a multi skilled approach in a fast paced, automated environment while upholding the highest safety and reliability standards.
Responsibilities- Proactively work as part of a multi skilled team to maintain all manufacturing assets.
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
- Conduct root cause analysis and return equipment to safe, timely operation.
- Identify failure modes, complete root cause analysis, and drive agreed actions to support the site reliability agenda.
- Support site project and change initiatives as appropriate.
- Risk assess all tasks through site specific or dynamic risk assessments.
- Report all maintenance tasks on the CMMS system to the required standard.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Issue work permits and supervise contractors.
- Essential: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi Skilled Engineering. Evidence of cross skilling required if the qualification is mechanical.
- Desirable: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, PAT Testing, PLC qualification, Abrasive Wheels, Welding, IOSH Machine Safety (PILZ).
- Additional desirable skills: experience with automation, PLCs and robotics; strong fault finding skills across electrical, mechanical and PLC domains; ability to read engineering drawings and operate workshop tools.
- Irish NFQ Level 5 or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualifications with electrical bias.
- Competitive salary plus 20% shift allowance (approx. £49k/€71k).
