On behalf of the Department for Education we are looking for a ServiceNow Developer (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month Remote contract with regular visits to Coventry and Manchester.
As a ServiceNow Developer, your main responsibilities will be:
. Work with the platform to develop and work in line with agreed policies, procedures, and roadmap
. Working with the ServiceNow admin team and where applicable, external parties to deliver platform developments.
. Work to agreed timelines to deliver platform developments, monitored through sprints.
. Manage incidents in line with agreed policies and procedures
. Working with Service Desk, resolver teams and where applicable, external parties to resolve incidents in a timely manner.
. Work to SLA's to ensure incidents are resolved, in a timely manner
. Complete regular service reviews with resolver teams to highlight activities and performance against agreed SLA's.
. Do root cause analysis
. Work with Resolver Groups to complete initial root cause analysis reports to support preventative action when required
. Complete RCA's ensure any problems or changes are raised and progressed to a successful conclusion.
. Weekly reports and meeting minutes, changes and problems.
. Manage requests in line with agreed policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
. Ability to identify and seek opportunities for service and business improvement. Confidently work with data, to provide a strong evidence-based analysis.
. A clear understanding of ServiceNow ITSM functionality and potential.
. Good understanding of ITIL principles.
. Experience working in agile software development.
. The ability to recognise potential for automation of processes. This will drive cost savings and efficiencies.
. Modern coding and development standards, practices, and techniques
. JavaScript, HTMS, CSS
. Good understanding and experience of agile methodologies
. UCD focus
. Integrations, automation and/or orchestration via workflows, Scripting web services/APIs, and IntegrationHub
. Development process optimisation
. Good understanding of information security
. System design and support
Desirable Skills
. An understanding of diverse types of users and their needs based on evidence.
. A recognised service management qualification such as ITIL V3 or V4 qualification, covering service operations/transition/design.
. ServiceNow certification
. Experience of CI/CD, DevOps, modern development workflows
. Experience with CMDB/CSDM
. Knowledge of ITOM and HRSD
