Your Life as a Service Technician at MeesonsAs a Service Technician with us at Meesons, you will work as part of a team on servicing products to provide the business and its customers with technical support nationwide. You will accurately diagnose and remedy reported faults efficiently with minimal disruption to the customer, always maintaining a professional and positive attitude. Your responsibilities will include conducting PMV visits thoroughly, ensuring all required aspects are completed, and demonstrating high standards of workmanship to ensure quality repairs, product reliability, and alignment with Meesons' values. We believe our people are the driving force behind our success, and as such, you will be personable, discrete, and committed to excellence.
Reporting directly to our Engineering Manager, you will demonstrate strong engineering aptitude and excellent verbal communication skills.
What is expected from you:- Adhere to response times, consulting with the Service Schedulers before making any schedule changes.
- Manage all spare parts on the van, ensuring stock levels are maintained and recorded accurately.
- Complete all required documentation promptly.
- Follow Health and Safety requirements.
- Be flexible with working hours; out-of-hours attendance, including weekends, may be required.
- Work efficiently, with overnight stays when necessary, in consultation with your line manager.
- Identify, test, and return faulty parts.
- Oversee and report on van stock levels, ensuring all stock used is booked out correctly.
- Submit accurate and complete timesheets on time.
- Care for company property, including vehicles, tools, equipment, and IT assets.
- Stay updated with technical information and updates from the Technical Support Department.
- Comply with Cyber Security protocols of Meesons and customers.
- Provide documentation for Security Clearance purposes.
- Adhere to scheduled tasks unless prior approval is obtained.
- Complete scheduled tasks to the required standards.
- Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment respectfully.
- Maintain accurate vehicle stocks.
- Demonstrate technical competence according to Meesons' standards.
- Maintain high attention to detail and a logical approach to fault identification.
- Possess good geographical knowledge.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
- Be a competent IT user, capable of using relevant systems.
- Operate in line with company values and behaviors.
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Maintain strong organizational skills.
Due to the nature of the work, the successful applicant will be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
