Wirral Day Services is looking for caring, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Service Support Workers. In this role, you will provide high-quality support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex health needs, helping them achieve their personal goals and take part in meaningful activities within the community.
About the Role: Working across our day service hubs and community settings, you will:
- Support people with personal care, health and wellbeing needs.
- Deliver engaging activities that promote independence, choice and inclusion.
- Encourage individuals to develop life skills and participate in their local communities.
- Build positive relationships with families, carers and partner organisations.
- Contribute to care and support planning, ensuring a person-centred approach at all times.
- Support fundraising events, social activities and community engagement opportunities.
- Are committed to delivering dignified, compassionate care.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can work flexibly across different day service locations.
- Are organised and able to prioritise their workload.
- Share our values and are passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience supporting people in a care setting is desirable, whether through paid work, volunteering or personal experience.
- A Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
- Experience supporting adults with complex health needs or behaviours of concern would be advantageous.
