Position Summary

Position Overview

Samsung Networks, a leader in Open RAN, is recruiting an experienced Service Pre Sales Lead for Open Radio Access Network services across Europe. The role may be based in Dublin, Ireland or Reading, United Kingdom, with required travel to customer locations throughout the EU. The on boarding timeline is expected in Q1 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Service/Solution and Sales teams to review and ensure compliance of RFP documentation.
  • Oversee Service components of I&C tenders, ensuring third party compliance and scope align with customer requirements.
  • Document swap methodologies that minimise network downtime.
  • Prepare deployment plans according to volumes indicated in the RFP.
  • Maintain relationships with third party field service providers, ensuring scope correctness, and support procurement for pricing activities.
  • Take full accountability for completing the Service submission, including costings, compliance, and statements of work for I&C, field, and SPMS services.
  • Prepare high standard customer presentation material and present proposals both online and face to face.
  • Develop and sustain constructive connections with internal and external stakeholders, defining a clear collaborator map from the outset.
  • Collaborate within the Samsung organisation to establish processes and statements of work related to Network Deployment activities.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new ideas and solutions that improve efficiency and minimise network downtime.
  • Analyse multiple RFP data sources to identify trends, insights, and develop systematic approaches to improve RFP responses.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support decision making.
  • Define end to end RAN rollout activities, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Define project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree level, preferably in Telecoms, Electronics, or Computer Science/IT.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project (High), and Power BI.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a relevant service role, including past experience in service pre sales.
  • Proven experience in Radio Access Network (RAN) rollout.
  • Fluent spoken and written English; other languages are an advantage.
  • Excellent report writing and data management skills.
  • Exceptional ability to navigate large and complex organisations, build relationships, and influence outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the EU.
Success Indicators

Success will be demonstrated by developing excellent customer relations and being recognised internally and externally as a key contact. You will identify key stakeholders, build strong relationships from the outset, and be acknowledged as a real team player who collaborates across teams to achieve results. You will own the Service submission cycle, from reviewing requirements to preparing compliance responses, statements of work, support for pricing, and engaging third party I&C and field service providers. You will review third party responses, approve selections with procurement, and present and defend RFP responses to customers, ensuring high quality service delivery.
