Hours: Working hours are between 9am and 10pm, with a 1-hour paid lunch. The successful candidate will be part of the CAS-2 on-call rota, which covers weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. Shifts will be fairly allocated among the CAS-2 management team.
Location: South West, covering Bristol, Yeovil, Swindon, Bournemouth, and Poole. Travel within the region is required, and a full driving license with access to a personal vehicle is essential.
About Nacro: Nacro is a national Social Justice Charity with over 50 years of experience in community development and crime reduction.
We deliver the Community Accommodation Support (CAS) service across England and Wales, assisting courts in making greater use of bail by providing community accommodation and support for adult defendants, including those recently released from custody and on Home Detention Curfew (HDC) or other Licence Orders.
Role Overview:
- We are seeking a Service Lead to manage and lead a team of Support Workers, delivering high-quality supported housing and housing management services to service users including those on bail, prison leavers, and individuals in the criminal justice system.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of support planning, safeguarding, and experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs such as substance misuse, health issues, mental health, employment, and housing support.
- You should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, support your team, and meet contractual KPIs. Adaptability, organization, and relationship-building skills are essential, including developing links with supporting agencies and representing CAS at external forums.
- Previous line management experience, excellent people skills, and strong communication skills are required.
- The role offers flexible community-based work in the Liverpool region, involving lone working, regular team meetings, and travel for training and meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver services in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure service quality, policy adherence, and safety plans are in place and up-to-date.
- Manage financial standards related to voids, arrears, and re-lets.
- Act as an operational partner, liaising with agencies, partners, and commissioners, and establishing service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Quality, Safeguarding, Finance, IT, and HR.
- Promote service user involvement and manage on-call rotas to ensure support coverage.
