£26,000 - £28,000 per annum plus bonus (OTE £30k+)
The Service Engineer will work within the client's organization, a market leader in automotive equipment, primarily responsible for driving service needs, installations, and support of the client's equipment. The successful applicant will visit customer locations to perform servicing and calibration checks, maintaining equipment in optimal condition to ensure customer satisfaction, meet expectations, and identify new business opportunities (servicing and sales).
The candidate will collaborate closely with the Aftermarket Manager, Service Engineers, and Technical Sales Representatives, functioning as part of a commercial team dedicated to customer satisfaction. They will also coordinate with the Internal Support team to provide a seamless service experience, from installation to aftercare, for all current and potential customers, ensuring high service standards.
Main Responsibilities of a Service Engineer:- Develop and execute the client's service and sales opportunities within the UK market.
- Conduct product and solution demonstrations in partnership with the Technical Sales Representative.
- Install equipment and provide start-up training to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform service, warranty, and calibration activities following the client's guidelines.
- Manage service activities, invoicing, and sales opportunities using the CRM system; participate in regular internal meetings.
- Proactively increase service, training, and repair business potential at customer sites.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Full UK driving license.
- Ability to undertake extensive travel within the UK; initial 3-6 months may involve staying away from home 3-4 nights per week.
- Customer-focused with a track record of fulfilling commitments.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Good technical knowledge of the collision repair industry and car manufacturing requirements.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office.
- This role suits candidates with an engineering background (e.g., cabling, IT, electrical appliances, gas engineering, or photocopier servicing). Full product training will be provided.
