Service Designer at mydentist. Permanent, full time. Flexible - remote or hybrid at our Kearsley Support Centre (M261GG). Free onsite parking and a short walk to the train station.
Independent design and improvement of NHS and private dental services, applying user centred and co design approaches across varied contexts. Balance design delivery with stakeholder engagement and contribute to the wider development of the design function.
Responsibilities- Lead design and delivery of service blueprints, journey maps, and proposals.
- Plan and conduct user research and co design activities.
- Synthesise insights from research and stakeholder input into practical service models.
- Translate technical information into clear, actionable outputs.
- Conduct or direct background research into NHS policy, ICB priorities, and healthcare strategies.
- Produce and maintain clear design documentation and outputs.
- Embed equity, access, and prevention principles into all designs.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in service design, public service innovation, or healthcare improvement.
- Experience leading research and design activities independently.
- Familiarity with social value frameworks or health inequalities work.
- Knowledge and experience of designing or improving services for underserved or high need populations (preferable).
