Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Service Operations Coordinator, a key operational role within the Ireland Service business.
The role is responsible for end to end coordination of service activities, acting as the central control point between Sales, Engineering, Field Service Engineers, and Operations. This individual owns the weekly planning process, acts as the go/no go authority for planned works, and is the process owner for the Field Service Management (FSM) system. The role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of service work in a fast moving and sometimes volatile service environment.
The position is (Hybrid Dublin) How you'll make an impact- Own and manage the service planner, ensuring effective scheduling and utilisation of field service engineers.
- Act as the weekly go / no go authority for planned service works, confirming readiness across resources, logistics, documentation, and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Field Service Engineers to enable safe and efficient service execution.
- Proactively identify planning conflicts, resourcing risks, and capacity constraints, escalating where required
- Act as the process owner for the Field Service Management (FSM) system.
- Maintain data quality, job status accuracy, and process compliance within the system.
- Support the service organisation in the timely identification and processing of variation orders.
- Coordinate and help maintain tooling, equipment, and certification compliance for field operations.
- Provide general operational support for HSE documentation across the service organisation
- Act as a central coordination point for service operations, ensuring clear and timely communication across functions.
- Strong experience in service coordination, operations, or planning within a technical or field based service environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume, fast changing workload.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working across Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Field Service teams.
- Experience working with field service systems, planners, or operational tools.
- Experience in an industrial, electrical, mechanical, or engineering service environment.
- Familiarity with HSE documentation and operational compliance.
- Experience supporting variation orders, service commercial processes, or work order closure.
- Working knowledge of SAP, FSM tools, or similar enterprise systems.
