Job Description

Join Havering Council as a Service Administrator and play a vital role in supporting the Safeguarding and Corporate Parenting Service. You'll manage communications, organise diaries, coordinate meetings, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth service delivery. This is a fast-paced role where you'll work closely with senior managers and teams across the council to help deliver excellent services for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally.
  • Organise diaries and schedules for senior management.
  • Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes.
  • Maintain records and databases in line with policies.
  • Support administrative tasks such as arranging birth certificates and passports.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Provide cover for other Service Administrators when required.
What You'll Bring
  • GCSE level education or equivalent qualification/business experience.
  • Experience in administrative support within local authority, health, education, or similar settings.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information in line with GDPR.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
