With a global network spanning 100+ countries, we are uniquely qualified to service clients with local and cross-border interests and provide integrated reporting and management.One of key divisions of TWCS is the Export & Agency Finance ("EAF") team.EAF arranges short, medium, and long-term structured financings with the support of Official Agencies (Export Credit Agencies, Development Finance Institutions, Multilateral Development Banks) for Citi's Banking and Commercial Banking clients globally. EAF operates as a global platform to structure, arrange, underwrite, syndicate, and lend under bespoke debt financings that defease risk through credit and political risk support from Official Agencies and/or access their funding, lending, or interest support programs. What you will do: The role reports to the Head of European ECA Coverage and will involve coverage of a select number of European ECAs (including SACE, BPI France, Credendo and CESCE) and key exporters in these markets.The individual will be responsible with supporting origination and structuring of transactions benefiting from support of the designated coverage ECAs. The individual will work as part of a deal team supporting the borrower coverage & sales teams from origination through to closing of the deals.The individual, as part of the European Agency Coverage team and in coordination with the global EAF sales teams will be supporting EAF annual revenue targets.Key responsibilities include: Establish and cultivate relationships with covered ECAs at underwriter and senior level Act as a centre of excellence in relation to covered ECA guarantees and programs on offer, including but not limited to legal aspects of credit defeasance and Basel eligibility of the guarantees. Provide intelligence to EAF sales teams on ECA products on offer, credit / country risk appetite, working practices, E&S and other specific structural considerations for transactions with covered European ECAs. Support origination by providing structural advice to sales teams, participating in client pitches, kick-off meetings, workshops and site visits as necessary to support all origination efforts Ensure regular communication with exporters and ECAs during the entire deal life-cycle and support execution of deals with covered European ECAs Design and implement a systematic exporter marketing strategy, developing a strong network with key exporters in the above-mentioned markets; stay in continuous dialogue to actively market customer financing solutions to those exporters in coordination with sales teams; ensure follow-up of all deal opportunities Monitor covered Agency exposures and, if necessary, work with sales and distribution teams to ensure strict discipline regarding Agency limits. Monitor pipeline and incoming transactions to manage Agency portfolio on a dynamic basis. Work to minimize losses on the existing portfolio by ensuring compliance of all guarantee requirements, ensure operational programs are in place to address agency requirements on a transaction specific basis. What we will need from you: Experience working with ECAs including but not limited to BPI France, SACE, CESCE and Credendo Sound understanding of the Export & Agency Finance business, with relevant experience in dealing with Export Credit Agencies, Development Finance Institutions and/or Multilateral Agencies. Experience working with European Agencies with relationships at senior and working level Strong relationships with European exporter base Language skills: French required, in addition Italian and/or Spanish preferred Extensive experience of the origination, structuring and execution of EAF transactions Knowledge of Citi credit policies and processes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong team player willing to integrate into a dynamic global team in a rapidly growing and fast-paced business.
