Senior Underground Engineer - This is a 2-month contract based in Leatherhead with hybrid working arrangements.
Role Overview: As a Senior Underground Engineer, you will support the overall lead in preparing engineering deliverables within your assigned scope. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design basis and specifications for underground services design and materials
- Paving, access roads, haul roads, and service roads
- Drainage including culverts/stormwater management of the plant site, stormwater drainage ponds, and process ponds with liners and leakage detection
- Drainage design calculations for all types of gravity drainage systems - stormwater, hydrocarbon-contaminated systems, sanitary waste systems
- Chemical waste drainage retention and disposal systems
- Erosion control and protection measures
- Underground pipelines and utilities
- Coordinate and produce composite underground services drawings showing all underground services like drainage, firewater, potable water, cable trenches, etc.
- Process topographic data from LiDAR, satellite, ground surveys, etc., for project use
- Generate and coordinate 3D models and drawings for earthworks, site preparation, grading, surface drainage, ditches, ponds, roads, paving, and embankments using Civil 3D
- Prepare material take-offs
