Senior UI Designer (Visual)

Senior UI Designer | Remote/Hybrid, sensible distance from London| Up to £90,000 + benefits

We're looking for a Senior UI Designer to join a small, close-knit team working on a long-running client engagement, reshaping and modernising a fintech client's software offering. Over the last five months the team has established a new design language and look-and-feel for this client, and is now expanding that work across a broader suite of their products.

This is a craft-led role. We're specifically looking for someone with a strong, visual, interface-first portfolio, not a research or UX-process-led one. You'll be working with an existing design system daily, so a sharp eye for detail, polish, and pixel-level execution matters more here than discovery or strategy work.

What you'll be doing

• Designing high-fidelity UI across a growing set of software products
• Working within an established design system, using existing components to ship new UI, and contributing new patterns back into it
• Presenting and discussing your design decisions directly with the client
• Working closely with a small team to keep projects moving

What we're looking for

• Strong fintech experience, either complex software (banking, investing, insurance platforms) or modern B2C fintech products
• A portfolio that leads with visual and interaction craft, not process or research narrative
• Highly proficient in Figma, with real experience working within a design system, not just consuming it
• Confident communicator, comfortable presenting work and discussing rationale with clients
• A genuine eye for detail and craft, you care about the work being beautifully made, not just functional
• Thrives in a small team: conversational, curious, and self-directed, someone who owns their output and deadlines without needing to be chased
