Senior Test Solutions Engineer

Job Overview

Senior Test Solutions Engineer - DASS project on the Eurofighter Typhoon. This role supports the engineering management of test solutions for microwave, RF, digital and analogue systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and capture requirements for Test Equipment Requirement Specifications (TERS)
• Ensure effective implementation of the life cycle design review process
• Contribute to engineering technical quality, schedule and budget
• Support management of suppliers, project governance and make/buy decisions
• Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies (e.g., test solutions or obsolescence)
• Document design rationale for changes and provide input to Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards
• Manage concession closure plans and enforcement

Required Qualifications

• Hands on experience designing complex test solutions across the full life cycle
• Good understanding of electronic technologies from DC to low light and of systems/software engineering lifecycle
• Experience working with external suppliers and outsourcing complex work packages
• Extensive knowledge of NI LabVIEW and TestStand
• Degree qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong schedule and budget control skills
• Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders
• Knowledge of engineering life cycle and business process

Nice to Have

• Good understanding of digital/analogue/RF systems with ESM and ECM
• Experience in the defence electronics sector, ideally airborne sensor systems

Security Clearance

Subject to pre employment screening in line with the UK Government's BPSS. Additional personnel security controls such as NSV may apply, potentially requiring SC or DV clearance.

Location & Working Arrangements

Primary location: Luton, GB - Green 300.

Contract type: Permanent with flexible hybrid working options. Travel within the UK and Europe required.
