We are seeking to appoint a talented individual to the post of Senior Teaching Assistant. The role involves working with the teachers to deliver quality teaching that facilitates independence and progress for our young people. We would also be interested in applications from candidates who have had training or experience with manual handling, or who would be willing to receive training. Whilst we looking ideally for 27.5 hours per week, we would also consider applications from candidates looking for less hours.
is a specialist resource provision for learners with Autism. The centre is part of Garth Hill College but operates in dedicated buildings within a short walk/drive from our main site. NAS autism accreditation was awarded in 2024, in addition to achieving the silver award for school of the year in the Pride of Bracknell awards.
Support enables autistic young people to take part in a range of activities which are purposeful and engaging and which promote their independence and emotional well-being together with their social communication skills (National Autistic Society Accreditation, July 2024)
The successful candidates will have Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or higher or equivalent). Prospective candidates are asked to study the person specification and job description for the post carefully.
