Job Description
Senior Teaching Assistant - Part-Time (Somerset)

Located in a supportive and forward-thinking specialist setting, this role involves working with students aged 11-19 who present with complex learning needs, including autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and sensory impairments.

The focus is on equipping learners with essential skills for everyday life and future independence.

The Opportunity

This senior position involves supporting classroom delivery, guiding less experienced staff and stepping in to lead learning when required.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards and ensuring continuity for pupils, contributing to a positive and structured learning environment.

Candidate Profile

You will bring at least 6 months of experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN environments.

Strong communication skills, initiative and the ability to mentor others are essential, alongside a calm and proactive approach.
