At Veeam, Systems Engineers work closely with field sales teams and help to evangelize our product offerings to our partners, resellers, and end users.

These positions require travel within the region of responsibility, which for this role is London and the south.
Job Functions
- Engage with end users and Veeam partners to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements.
- Create content and deliver presentations and demonstrations to varying numbers and levels of decision-makers, virtually and in person.
- Manage the technical evaluation stage of the sales process as a main technical advisor for Veeam's solutions.
- Provide pre-sales assistance to customers as they evaluate Veeam software (e.g., POCs, Hands-on Labs, Bootcamps).
- Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date details of customer and partner engagement activities on the CRM platform (Salesforce).
- Work closely with Veeam's value-added resellers on training, joint meetings, and relationship building.
- Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
- Collaborate with Veeam Product Development and Engineering to provide customer feedback.
- Participate actively and collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives that increase efficiencies and add long-term value to the company (e.g., TCO & ROI calculators, hands-on labs).
Knowledge & Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working in a pre-sales role in IT.
- Prior experience using or deploying Veeam solutions.
- VMCE certification would be very advantageous; all SEs can obtain VMCE and VMCA certifications once in the role.
- Deep experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV), and associated technologies (SANs, hyper-converged storage, networking).
- Knowledge of public clouds (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with key SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to groups, both remotely and in person.
- Available to travel across the UK & Ireland.
- A self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities may change quickly.
