The roleAs a Senior Supportability Engineer, you'll be at the heart of delivering innovative Integrated Product Support (IPS) solutions for a new-build warship programme. This strategically important, customer-facing role collaborates with highly skilled Engineers, Managers and Technicians to ensure future support programmes are won and delivered successfully. Your work will make a real difference to national security and accelerate your career development in defence and engineering.
Key responsibilities- Lead delivery and provide inputs into ILS related activities.
- Conduct complex availability, reliability, maintainability and sustainability analysis and modelling.
- Develop ILS data, artefacts and documentation for IPS solutions.
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure programme success.
- Work closely with partners and supply chains to deliver IPS artefacts and deliverables.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience- Prior experience in marine mechanical or electrical engineering/support programmes.
- Proven leadership or management experience with strong stakeholder and customer relationship skills.
- Operated at Senior Engineer level with expertise in IPS, Supportability and Programme roles.
- In-depth knowledge of S-Series standards and proficiency in ARM modelling software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer-facing experience beneficial.
- HNC or Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (or equivalent through qualifications and experience).
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
