A bit about the role

The Senior Supply Chain Manager at the UK National Lottery is responsible for leading the supply chain team in executing the strategic vision, operational excellence, and execution of supply chain related retail initiatives. This role entails leading the development and implementation of innovative supply chain strategies that enhance player and retailer engagement and maximise returns to good causes while ensuring compliance and regulatory standards are achieved.

We operate a hybrid working model requiring employees to work from the office 3 days per week. These in-office days will be spread across the standard working week (Monday-Friday).

What you'll be doing
  • Responsibility for Supply Chain at Allwyn: To be the go-to owner of the Supply Chain function at Allwyn
  • Line Management of subject matter experts: Manage the team to deliver operational excellence and efficiencies across the Supply Chain, aligning with other areas of the business to execute the commercial plan.
  • Win the day-to-day relationship with Scientific Games: Work in collaboration with SG to execute the Supply Chain strategy, manage the day-to-day relationships, and be the go-to for Allwyn on SGEP (Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership)
  • Planning and Execution: Co-Creation and implementation of business Supply Chain Strategy and its associated objectives
  • Inventory Management: Manage Scratchcard inventory to ensure agreed OPMS on In Store and On Sale availability are met, while maximising efficiency
  • Responsibility for the SciTrak development Roadmap: Responsibility with SG around replenishment system enhancements to drive Allwyn's strategic direction for Scratchcards. Working with the Supply Chain Planning Manager to determine a roadmap that aligns.
  • Third Party Relationship Management: Manage the day-to-day relationship with Scientific Games on the SGEP (Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership). Work with procurement to ensure performance against agreed SOW objectives and clauses.
  • Process and Risk Ownership: Business Owner for Supply Chain SPPPs. Work with the fulfilment manager and central assurance/compliance to ensure all SPPPs are completed to schedule. Business owner for Supply Chain FRR. Ensuring risks are identified, and correct mitigations are in place.
  • Collaboration with Instants Team: Work closely with the Product Team to understand the overarching strategic direction, understanding the impact of changes on demand and operational complexities. Managing relationships with the Product team to manage new product introductions and end-of-life processes.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements that are within Section 6 of the Class Licence with the Gambling Commission.
  • Team development and management: Manage and develop the Supply Chain team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Set clear and concise objectives which stem from the overall Supply Chain Strategy.
What experience we're looking for
  • Strong understanding of retail supply chain principles
  • Knowledge of UK retail marketplace
  • Third-party management experience
  • Team leadership skills
  • Proven experience in Range Planning, Category Management, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge and experience of the retail and gaming industry is a plus.
