Senior Sprinkler Design Engineer Glasgow Vipond Operations

Vipond Fire Protection, part of Chubb Fire & Security, now has an opportunity for a Senior Sprinkler Design Engineer for a remote opportunity. Following recent business wins, we are keen to add to our Design team to manage fire protection systems remotely.

Goals and Objectives:

• Produce high-quality system designs in compliance with relevant standards and within deadlines
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors

Responsibilities:

• Design sprinkler systems for various applications (Large works, small works, LPC Rules, NFPA, FM)
• Maintain design responsibility throughout project lifecycle
• Create technical documentation, installation drawings, and coordination models
• Perform hydraulic calculations
• Conduct on-site surveys as needed
• Ensure compliance with standards and project specifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum LPCB Basic design qualification
• LPCB Intermediate and FHC qualifications are advantageous
• Knowledge of LPC sprinkler rules essential; familiarity with FM & NFPA standards beneficial
• Degree or HND in a related discipline advantageous
• Relevant experience in fire sprinkler system design and technical documentation
• At least five years of experience in fire sprinkler system design; experience with water mist, hydrants, and riser systems advantageous
