Are you passionate about inclusion and ready to make a meaningful and lasting impact? British Blind Sport is looking for an exceptional Senior Sport Activities Officer to help drive participation in sport and physical activity for blind and partially sighted people across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious Sport Development team at a pivotal time. You will play a key role in creating inclusive opportunities, building strong partnerships, and helping more people with sight loss to enjoy the life-changing benefits of sport.

Key Objectives
  • Lead on the planning, delivery and coordination of sport and physical activity programmes and events for blind and partially sighted people across the UK.
  • Deliver high quality, inclusive participation opportunities that support the growth of regular and sustained engagement in sport and physical activity.
  • Work closely with the Senior Sport Development Officer to ensure delivery activity aligns with insight, learning, reporting requirements and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate and support coaches, volunteers and delivery partners to ensure safe, consistent and high quality participant experiences.
  • Support the delivery and development of key programmes and events (e.g. participation days, BBS sport section events and competitions, festivals, showcases and engagement activities).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners across the sport and disability sectors to strengthen delivery networks and participation pathways.
  • Represent British Blind Sport at events, exhibitions, meetings and sector forums to promote opportunities and increase awareness of BBS activity.
  • Capture participant feedback and contribute to service improvement, programme development and learning.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and inclusive practice are embedded across all delivery activity in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of volunteers, coaches and partners through guidance, support and good practice sharing.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the BBS delivery team (e.g. Workforce Officers) to maximise participation opportunities and impact.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, safeguarding and organisational policies in all delivery and engagement activity.
