Exyte are now hiring for a Senior Specialist Purchasing for Data Center projects across Europe.

The successful candidate will provide an efficient and effective procurement service to assigned project and assist in the implementation of the group procurement strategies.

With our integrated project delivery approach, we have successfully executed numerous projects worldwide, including advanced intelligence data centers, hyperscale data centers, colocation and cloud computing data centers using traditional construction as well as modular construction techniques.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Raise and manage purchase orders for construction materials, plant, and subcontract services
  • Lead end-to-end procurement for construction packages (sub-contractors, consultant, goods and services.)
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers Long Lead Time Equipment (e.g., switchgear, UPS, cooling systems, generators)
  • Responsible for the execution of the Project Procurement Plan (PPP) relating to critical, time sensitive packages and equipment.
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with project timelines
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and framework agreements
  • Deliver cost savings and value engineering opportunities
  • Manage budgets and track procurement spend against forecasts
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new vendors (local and international)
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, compliance)
  • Visit Projects to assess progress, needs, meet with vendors and provide trainings on procurement procedures.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to align procurement with technical requirements
  • Support bid/tender processes and provide procurement input during pre-construction
  • Mitigate supply chain risks (lead times, shortages, geopolitical impacts)
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with Exyte procurement policies and industry standards
  • Manage contracts in line with legal and commercial requirements
  • Support ESG and sustainability initiatives within the supply chain
  • Reporting of procurement status to Management on a weekly basis
  • Controls and issues MoM of Procurement Meetings
  • Work closely with Cost Control and Commercial teams to meet budgets, timelines and mandatory documentation.
  • Lead Project Procurement at meetings (both internal and external to the Project)
  • Meet savings targets and KPI's
  • Coordinate with project team on asset registers, deliveries and stock management
  • Assist AP with invoices assessment and PO's
  • Assist Estimation team on tender phase if required.
  • Assess Market trends and advice if any risks arise
Show your expertise
  • Degree in Construction, QS, Procurement, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in construction, infrastructure, or data centre projects
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems / construction materials procurement
  • Experience of leading the procurement activity for major goods, and/or services in a multi-site business
  • Suitable safety training and working knowledge of UK Safety and Environmental Legislation.
  • Good Negotiation Skills
  • Familiarity with Standard Forms of Contract
  • Membership of Charted Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent i.e. CIOB/RICS
  • Computer Literacy, experience of SAP or other ERM system
  • Commercial and financial acumen
