Senior Specialist Legal Editor (Contract) - Competition Law | 5+ PQE | UK/EU Antitrust Expertise | Legal Writing & Research | 3-4 Days/Week

Contract Role - Senior Specialist Legal Editor (Competition Law)

A leading global provider of professional legal information services is seeking an experienced competition law practitioner (eg, solicitor or barrister) to join its Antitrust and Competition editorial team on a contract basis (3-4 days per week).

This role sits at the intersection of legal expertise, publishing, and legal technology, contributing to high-quality legal know-how content and supporting the development of AI-powered legal solutions used by legal professionals worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, update, and maintain competition law content to reflect the latest UK and EU legal developments.

  • Draft and edit practice notes, checklists, flowcharts, and standard documents for online legal resources.

  • Ensure materials are legally accurate, well-written, and aligned with current market practice.

  • Research and produce competition law know-how resources for online legal products.

  • Monitor regulatory and market developments across UK and EU competition law.

  • Write and publish legal updates and current awareness content.

  • Support product development initiatives, including work related to generative AI legal solutions.

  • Review and edit internally and externally produced legal content.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with 5+ years' post-qualification experience.

  • Strong experience in UK and/or EU competition (antitrust) law.

  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and issue-spotting skills.

  • Demonstrated legal writing and editing ability.

  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.

  • Working knowledge of French, German, or another EU language is advantageous.
