Sodexo is seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join our team at a vibrant corporate site in Bracknell. In this role, you will support the Head Chef in leading a dynamic kitchen operation, delivering fresh, high-quality food while inspiring the team and maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.

Responsibilities- 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- 07:00 till 15:30
- Support the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality food that meets Sodexo and client standards.
- Help lead and support the kitchen team across all service areas, including retail, deli, café, hospitality, vending, and the main kitchen.
- Contribute to menu planning and innovation using the Sodexo Culinary DRIVE system, creating engaging seasonal and themed food offers that meet site requirements and budgets.
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, ensuring compliance with company policy and maintaining the site's 5 EHO rating.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, food rotation, and weekly stock takes, ensuring accurate records, minimal waste, and effective cost control.
- Step up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, overseeing daily operations, supporting the front-of-house team when required, and delivering an excellent customer experience.
- A passionate and creative chef with a strong understanding of current food trends and the ability to bring innovation to menus.
- Professional culinary qualification such as an NVQ Level 3, Diploma, or equivalent in Professional Cookery or Hospitality.
- Proven experience in a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef leadership role within corporate catering, contract catering, or a high-volume commercial kitchen.
- Excellent culinary craft skills with the ability to deliver consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Strong financial awareness, including experience managing food costs, menu costing, GP targets, and kitchen budgets.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Certification with good IT skills (Word and Excel) and a solid understanding of food safety, compliance, and kitchen management processes.
