We're partnering with a leading global bank to hire a Senior Solutions Architect for their Risk Technology team. This is a high-impact role focused on designing mission-critical systems within a complex and highly regulated environment.

The Role

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you'll lead the design of scalable, resilient solutions that support key risk functions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive architectural best practices, and play a key role in shaping the technical direction of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver architecture solutions for complex business challenges
  • Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Contribute to innovation through PoCs and technical exploration
  • Produce clear technical documentation, diagrams, and workflows for a range of stakeholders
  • Guide technology selection, vendor evaluation, and architectural decisions
  • Mentor engineering teams and promote secure, resilient design principles
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in Solution Architecture (or similar role)
  • Strong background in microservices / SOA architecture and containerised environments
  • Experience with high-volume data processing / ETL pipelines
  • Knowledge of polyglot architectures (SQL & NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB)
  • Experience designing REST / GraphQL APIs and event-driven systems (Kafka, Redis, etc.)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Time-Series or Graph databases (e.g. Prometheus, Neo4j)
  • Hands-on coding experience in Python
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
