Senior Solution Architect (Freelance)

At Shakers, we're partnering with a leading international IT services company to find a Senior Solution Architect to support complex digital transformation initiatives.

You'll work at the intersection of business and technology, designing scalable, secure, and well-structured architectures for enterprise environments.

What will you do?

• Translate business requirements into clear technical architectures
• Design high-level solutions (HLDs), architecture diagrams, ADRs
• Define API, integration, and data models
• Ensure security-by-design and governance compliance
• Lead architecture reviews and support key technical decisions
• Collaborate with business, engineering, and governance stakeholders
• Guide delivery teams across the full lifecycle
• Improve architecture of distributed and scalable systems

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years experience in Solution / Software Architecture
• Strong background in:
• Microservices & distributed systems
• API design & system integration
• Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience designing end-to-end architectures
• Strong knowledge of:
• Architecture modelling (UML, BPMN, C4, etc.)
• Security & data governance principles
• Ability to translate business into technical design
• Strong communication & stakeholder management

Nice to have

• Experience with Java / Spring Boot
• Familiarity with frontend (Angular)
• Experience in enterprise environments (banking, telco, etc.)
