Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Solicitor in Warrington to join the in-house legal team of a major global defence and nuclear engineering organisation. This role offers exposure to complex commercial contracts, bids and strategic projects across highly regulated sectors. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders while supporting mission-critical programmes in a collaborative national legal team.

Description

The Senior Solicitor will be:

  • Providing legal advice and support on commercial contracts, including clean energy and international projects.
  • Leading on the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of complex agreements, including Joint Ventures, Teaming Agreements, MOUs, and high-value supply chain contracts.
  • Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts within defence and engineering projects
  • Providing legal guidance to internal stakeholders and managing external lawyers.
  • Providing ad hoc legal advice.

Profile

The Senior Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE in commercial law.
  • Experienced in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Comfortable advising stakeholders within large, multi-disciplinary organisations
  • Experience in defence and military, engineering, infrastructure or highly regulated sectors would be advantageous
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
