A fast-growing sports tech company is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails experience and solid React skills to help shape the future of their product platform. This is a remote-first role, ideal for engineers who want the flexibility of working from home while staying connected through occasional in-person team sessions (once a quarter in Edinburgh).
As part of a small, collaborative product team, you'll be building and improving features that serve a large and passionate user base. You'll have a real voice in product direction, own technical decisions, and contribute directly to user success.
What You'll Do- Design, build, and maintain robust Back End services using Ruby on Rails.
- Develop dynamic, responsive user interfaces with React (and occasionally React Native).
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Customer Success teams to understand user needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Lead and participate in architectural and strategic technical decisions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and clear technical documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.
- Take part in user conversations to inform development priorities.
- Continuously improve tools, processes, and performance through iteration and feedback.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments.
- Proficiency with React (React Native is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and own projects end-to-end.
- Comfortable translating technical goals into user-focused outcomes.
- Enthusiastic about collaborating with non-engineering teams and speaking with end users.
- A genuine interest in mentoring others and contributing to a positive engineering culture.
Why Join?
- Remote-first working with only minimal travel (once per quarter to Edinburgh).
- The opportunity to work on meaningful products that impact real users.
- A supportive, fast-moving team where your input shapes the product.
- A culture that values autonomy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
