Job Description

Senior Engineer - Python/Django

Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid)

At Akuaro, we're connecting top engineers with a leading SaaS platform. With a massive user base and millions of real-time data transactions daily, this is the kind of environment where your skills can truly make a difference.

Our partner is currently tackling an exciting challenge: merging two major platforms into a single, unified product. From integrating multiple external providers to ensuring seamless performance and reliability, this is your chance to work at the heart of a project that's both complex and rewarding.

What You'll Do

Develop and scale key product features using Python/Django and React.

Lead API integrations with external systems, ensuring smooth data flows and robust performance.

Architect scalable systems with a relentless focus on quality: unit testing, documentation and CI/CD are part of your DNA.

Act as the technical leader in your squad, shaping the roadmap and collaborating closely with Product and Engineering Managers.

What We're Looking For

A Product Engineering mindset: you care about delivering real value, not just writing code.

Solid experience in building high-performance, complex web applications.

Expertise in backend, frontend or full-stack development - with a current emphasis on Python/Django and React.

Passion for simplicity, efficiency and quality.

Proven ability to mentor and guide others, and bring bold solutions to the table.

Experience working in cross-functional teams (squads of around 7-10 people).

Familiarity with DevOps principles is a big plus.

Your Environment

Join a collaborative squad: Product Manager, Designer, Engineering Manager, and talented engineers.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll set the technical tone and steer the team's direction.

Clear roadmaps and a culture of autonomy and collaboration.

Compensation & Work Style

Salary range: €70,000-90,000

Hybrid working: 3 days a week on-site in Barcelona, 2 days remote.

The chance to work on cutting-edge integrations and scalable architecture.

Hiring Process

Introductory call (if needed).

90-min technical deep dive (CV review + culture fit).

Live coding interview.

System design session based on real-world scenarios.

Why This Role?

Because here, you won't just build features - you'll shape the future of a product used by thousands globally. Bring your ideas, your expertise and your curiosity.
